Wigan transfers: Roberto Martínez tight-lipped on Luciano Becchio link
Wigan transfers: Roberto Martinez remains tight-lipped on reports linking Leeds' Luciano Becchio with a move to the Latics

Roberto Martínez has refused to be drawn on speculation linking Wigan Athletic with a move for Leeds United striker Luciano Becchio.
The 29-year-old has scored 20 goals in 30 appearances for the Championship side this season, sparking reports of a possible move to the Premier League.
It was rumoured Becchio attended Wigan’s 2-1 victory over Bournemouth in the FA Cup on Tuesday, but Martínez doubts the forward was in attendance and refused to confirm whether the United star was a target.
“I don’t think so. If he was I didn’t know about it [him being at the game],” said Martínez.
“I am not going to mention any names.
“We are looking for the right player, somebody that can help us. But the focus is on the players we already have here.
“I will never go into a position of mentioning names of other players that are involved with other football clubs. I don’t think it is respectful. I
don’t like it when people do it about our players in the middle of a season and I would never do that.”
The Latics boss did reveal that he would be looking to make one or two additions before the January transfer window closes after Ivan Ramis was ruled out for the remainder of the season.
“We have got a little bit of room to bring one or two players,” he added.
“I spoke with the chairman yesterday and the injury to Ivan has put us in that situation,” added Martínez.
