Switching to Spain, and our man-in-the-know on the continent is tipping both sides to score in Granada against Real Madrid, while his outside shout is Los Blancos to beat their opponents by three goals.
On Sunday, he is predicting Valencia to hold Barcelona to a draw at the Mestalla, while Atlético Madrid to score two goals or more against Real Betis.

For much of the first half of the season, Atlético Madrid’s Radamel Falcao was Europe’s form striker. However, the Colombian has faltered with injury in recent weeks, and it is now most definitely Napoli’s Edinson Cavani. The Uruguay international has scored 19 goals in his last 15 games, including a late winner against Parma last weekend. So, El Tipstro is backing Cavani to score last in Napoli against Catania at 21/10.Bet365 odds
José Mourinho’s side are yet to drop points to Granada since the La Liga minnows returned to the top flight in 2011. Yet, there is no value in backing the Madrid win at a very stingy 1/3. So, instead, El Tipstro prefers to look at the goals market. Granada have scored in two of their three losses to Los Blancos, while both sides have scored in two of Madrid’s last three games. So, Granada and Madrid both to net is worth a punt at a more reasonable 8/13.
Barcelona lost their unbeaten record at Malaga in January, and their form has been patchy – by their high standards at least! Valencia are much-improved since the dismissal of Mauricio Pellegrino earlier in the season. Valencia have won their last five matches, taking their Real Madrid ties out of the equation. Meanwhile, Barcelona’s last two trips to the Mestalla have ended in a stalemate. El Tipstro is backing Valencia and Barcelona to draw at 10/3.
This is El Tipstro’s bet of the week. Although Diego Simeone’s side lost to Athletic Bilbao last weekend, the Madrid outfit have been imperious at the Vicente Calderon. Atlético have a 100 per record at home this season in La Liga, averaging 2.9 goals per game. Need any more convincing? Atlético have scored two goals or more in four of their last six meetings against Betis. Simeone’s men to score two goals or more against Betis is a very reasonably priced at 11/8.
Finally for this weekend, El Tipstro turns his attention back to Madrid’s clash against Granada. Los Blancos have started 2013 in a rich vein of form and Mourinho’s men have scored eight goals in their last three away games. Madrid have scored a total of 10 goals against Granada since the southern side were promoted to the Spanish top flight. El Tipstro’s long shot for this edition is Madrid to win by three goals on Saturday night at 9/2.
