Also in this edition, read you why should back Gareth Bale to torment Norwich City – and why City’s clash with Liverpool looks set to be a high-scoring affair.
The Tipster rightly predicted that Luis Suárez would net for the Reds against Arsenal in a mid-week 2-2 draw at The Emirates. The Uruguay international is in a rich vein of form, having netted eight goals in his last seven Premier League outings. In addition, Suárez netted against City in a 2-2 draw at Anfield earlier this season. So the opening bet for this edition is Suárez to score at 7/5.
Liverpool have been one of the highest scorers in the Premier League this season, netting at The Emirates, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and White Hart Lane this term. There have been at least three goals in the Reds’ last nine games in the English top flight. The last two games between these two sides have finished 2-2, so therefore, the Tipster reckons over 2.5 goals looks a good bet here.
Tottenham’s Gareth Bale scored a fantastic goal in a 1-1 draw with Norwich City in Carrow Road in midweek. The Wales international has been in great form this term, scoring 10 goals in 20 appearances for the north London side. West Brom could be set to be out-of-sorts after a difficult run of results, coupled with Peter Odemwingie’s transfer deadline day drama. So The Tipster is backing Bale to score any time at 7/4.
Andre Villas-Boas’ side have drawn their last three games in the Premier League. Tottenham have been more cautious under the Portuguese coach this year and are difficult to breakdown and beat. It’s reflected in the fact that Tottenham’s last three top-flight games have finished with under 2.5 goals. West Brom have failed to win their last five matches in the Premier League, so the Tipster expects a tight affair, and under 2.5 goals looks a good bet at 19/20.
As already discussed in this edition, Manchester City and Liverpool have shared high-scoring draws in recent meetings. The last two clashes have resulted in a 2-2 stalemate, while Liverpool were held to the draw by the same scoreline at The Emirates in midweek. With City under pressure to keep pace with Manchester United, there could be an edginess to their play. For that reason, the Tipster’s ambitious long shot is over 2.5 goals and City and Liverpool to draw at 14/1.
