Kevin Mirallas has urged Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini to stay at Goodison Park amid reported interest from Champions League holders Chelsea.

The Belgium international has been the standout player for the Toffees this season, with a return of 10 goals in 23 Premier League appearances.

The 25-year-old has three years remaining on his current deal at the Merseyside outfit, and Mirallas is desperate to see his compatriot stay.

“We definitely want him to stay,” said Mirallas.

“He’s a real strength. Having Marouane in your team helps because he scares the opposition – although he doesn’t scare me because we’re always on the same team!”

On Saturday, Fellaini encouraged Chelsea to submit an offer if the west London side were serious about making a swoop for the Belgian.

“If Chelsea want to sign me, then they need to come forward with a bid for me,” he told the Sun.

“I have heard about Chelsea’s interest but I’ve honestly not spoken to them.

“Every season I’ve been here, top clubs have been asking about me but, for now, I’m happy at Everton.”
