Andre Villas-Boas is confident Tottenham Hotspur can halt their mini-collapse and regroup in the race for a top-four finish.

Spurs, who are in fourth position, have suffered back-to-back Premier League losses after Dimitar Berbatov netted the winner in Fulham’s 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Chelsea leapfrogged Tottenham after a 2-0 win against West Ham United, while fifth-placed Arsenal moved to within four points of their north London rivals courtesy of their win at Swansea.

But Villas-Boas is adamant Spurs have enough games to get their bid to qualify for the Champions League back on track after the international break.

“We can’t hide from what has happened in the past but must make sure we avoid it again,” Villas-Boas told the Sun.

“It’s been a difficult month. But if we can find our form again, our confidence, our wins, then we can stop that cycle.

“The most important thing is we’ve enough games left to stop it happening and get out of this situation.”

He added: “The top four has become a different situation over the last two weekends.

“Chelsea are back in third and Arsenal are still competing for the Champions League.

“We’ve enough games to get to third hopefully or bring Manchester City closer to us but that’ll be difficult.”
