Arsenal transfers: Alexis Sánchez is perfectly suited to the Gunners' style of play, says Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini

Alexis Sánchez is perfectly suited to Arsenal’s style of play, according to Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini.

Sánchez has been linked with a summer move away from Barcelona after failing to find consistent form since moving to Camp Nou from Udinese back in 2011.

The 24-year-old has scored just five goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga leaders after a return of 15 strikes in his first season in Spain.

Arsenal have been touted as a possible destination for the 5ft 7in striker – and Larini believes Sánchez would flourish in north London.

“Sánchez needs to play the ball on the ground, just like Arsenal. That would be his ideal game,” Larini told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

“I do not know his current situation at the Spanish club. But his fitness problems have definitely limited his performances.

“The only thing that these teams will have to consider is that he is a player who needs freedom to play his way. In teams that have particularly rigid patterns of play he might have a few problems.”
