Lukas Podolski says he is “unlikely” to leave Arsenal in the summer despite reported interest from Serie A champions Juventus.

The Germany international, who joined the Gunners last summer, has scored 13 goals in 34 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions in his first season in England.

Podolski is expected to play a part in Germany’s World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan on Tuesday, despite a calf problem which has restricted the forward to one Arsenal appearance in the past month.

And although the former Cologne star is flattered by interest from Juve, Podolski says he feels settled at the north London side after moving to the English capital last July.

“Firstly, I cannot help it that clubs are interested in me,” Podolski told Bild.

“Secondly any interest makes me proud because it is a recognition of my performance.

“It is unlikely [I will leave] because, at the club and in the town, I feel really comfortable.”

Podolski, who joined the Gunners in a £7m deal, is Germany’s sixth highest goal-scorer of all time, with 44 strikes in 108 appearances.
