Branislav Ivanovic has warned Chelsea to expect Manchester United to be fired up for Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils head into Sunday’s showdown on the back of Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 loss at the hands of Real Madrid.

And Ivanovic believes that travelling to Old Trafford will be one of the Blues’ toughest tests of the campaign.

“It is going to be one of our biggest challenges of the season, especially playing them at this moment,” Ivanovic told the London Evening Standard.

“When you go out of the biggest competition in that way, it must be disappointing but they will be more motivated because of that.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benítez remains confident of his side’s chances of reaching the Europa League quarter-finals despite Thursday’s 1-0 defeat at Steaua Bucharest.

Raul Rusescu scored the only goal of the last-16 first-leg from the penalty spot after he was fouled in the box by Ryan Bertrand.

“We know that we have to do our job now at home,” said Benítez.

“In these kind of games and this kind of competition, if you don’t score away it’s always more difficult. Still, you have to believe.

“We are disappointed, but still we have the belief we will win at home.”

And looking ahead to Sunday’s clash, Benítez added: “It’s another competition and a different atmosphere, it will be totally different and another challenge for us.”
