Chelsea transfers: Hulk admits he is a huge fan of the Premier League amid fresh speculation linking the striker the Blues
Hulk has admitted that he is a huge fan of the Premier League amid fresh speculation linking the striker with a transfer to Chelsea.
The Brazilian striker had been relentlessly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge before he sealed a £40m switch to Zenit St Petersburg from Porto last summer.
The 26-year-old, who has scored three goals in 11 league appearances for Zenit this season, is still reported to be on the Blues’ radar and has now conceded that he is a big fan of the English top flight.
“My future? I love the Premier League,” said Hulk, who fell out with Zenit boss Luciano Spalletti back in December.
“The Premier League is a great competition with great clubs. If I have time, I watch the matches on television.”
Meanwhile, Frank Lampard has insisted that he will talk to England boss Roy Hodgson before making a decision over his future.
The 34-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer and is yet to be offered a new Chelsea deal, has been linked with a move to the MLS.
He said: “While I’m available for England – and I certainly am now and in the future – I want to do my best to try to put myself in the squad.
“I don’t think it rules out anything, including America.
“I haven’t had the conversation with the manager about it. I’ve seen players get picked before, playing all over the world.
“If there’s ever a time, whenever it is, where there’s an option of going outside Europe, I’m sure me and Roy would have the conversation about that.”
