Dimitar Berbatov returned to haunt Tottenham as the Bulgarian striker’s goal gave Fulham a surprise victory at White Hart Lane to dent Spurs’ Champions League qualification hopes.

Meanwhile, battling 10-man Norwich secured a 1-1 draw at Sunderland, Wigan netted a late winner to down Newcastle 2-1 and Chelsea were 2-0 winners over West Ham at Stamford Bridge.

Here is the best of the Twitter reaction from the professionals after a busy day of Premier League football.

Newcastle’s Ryan Taylor (‏@TaylorR1984) is not impressed either: “In them few minutes after the tackle why can’t the ref or the 4th official look at a video for 5 seconds and help the ref out #SortItOut”

Former Liverpool defender Phil Thompson (@Phil_Thompson4) agrees: “My goodness what a day, do some officials not watch the same game that the fans and the TV audience see? Too many errors.”

And his Newcastle team-mate Yohan Cabaye (@YCabayeofficiel) is excited to see the Magpies draw level at Wigan: “Yesssssssss !!!!! Come on lads..”
