Liverpool transfers: Thomas Ince ‘happy’ at Blackpool despite Reds link
Liverpool transfers: Blackpool's Thomas Ince insists he is happy at the Tangerines despite reports linking him with a top-flight return
Thomas Ince insists he is happy to stay at Blackpool despite speculation linking the Tangerines star with a summer move to Liverpool and Manchester United.
The 21-year-old forward won the Johnstone’s Paint young player of the year award on Sunday night after scoring an impressive 19 goals in 33 Championship appearances this season.
Ince joined Blackpool from Liverpool in 2011, with his father Paul now in charge at Bloomfield Road after former boss Michael Appleton moved to Blackburn.
And although the Reds youth graduate hinted a move could be on the cards at the end of the season, Ince says he would be happy to stay at Blackpool beyond the summer.
“For me if it wasn’t for Blackpool I would not be where I am now and would not be the player I am now,” he told Sky Sports News.
“I put tremendous belief into my team-mates and the fans so it has been absolutely fantastic.
“I will continue to give 100 per cent and my all until the end of this season.”
He added: “In the summer anything can change and I am happy where I am.
“If I am at Blackpool, my feet will be on the ground, and it is about timing – sometimes you can jump too soon. If I am still at Blackpool at end of season then great.”
