Edinson Cavani is “very happy” at Napoli despite reports linking the Uruguayan with Chelsea and Manchester City, according to the striker’s representative.

The 26-year-old has scored an impressive 20 goals in 26 Serie A appearances this season, helping Walter Mazzarri’s side mount a league title challenge.

The South American star penned a five-year deal with the Naples-based side in August, which reportedly includes a £60m release clause.

And Cavani’s representative Gennaro Famiglietti does not believe many clubs could afford to lure the striker away from Napoli.

“Cavani loves the club and the city,” Famiglietti told Italian radio station Kiss Kiss.

“Few clubs can pay the price for Cavani and this will determine his future. There is no agreement with anybody.”

He added: “We have already said that he is ready to stay if the squad can become stronger and new signings can arrive.

“The player is ambitious and wants to win titles with Napoli.”

Cavani has scored 95 goals in 130 appearances for Napoli after joining Mazzarri’s side from Palermo in 2010.
