Tomas Rosicky believes Arsenal’s experience of securing top-four finishes in recent years will prove decisive in this season’s race.

The Gunners, who have never finished outside the top four under Arsene Wenger, are currently four points behind Tottenham, who occupy the final Champions League spot.

But the 32-year-old Rosicky is confident Wenger’s men will be able to catch their north London rivals before the season is out.

“That’s what I expect to happen – that we will be there again,” Rosicky told Arsenal’s official matchday programme.

“Of course it will be a tough task, but our advantage is that we had the same experience last year. We know it’s very possible but we have to be consistent.

“Inconsistency has bothered us at times this season, but I believe we will produce a strong finish and we will make it.”

Arsenal host Reading on Saturday afternoon, while Tottenham travel to Swansea City.
