Leandro Damiao is likely to leave Internacional in the summer amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Brazilian side’s director of football.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is a long-term admirer of the Brazil international but the north London side failed with a bid to bring the striker to White Hart Lane in January.

The 23-year-old forward scored 24 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions for Internacional in 2012, helping his side win the Campeonato Gaúcho title.

Damiao remains one of the most-sought after players in Europe with Napoli, who are second in Serie A, reportedly keen to sign the forward, while Paris Saint-Germain are also interested.

And Interncional’s director of football Luis Cesar Souto de Moura says Damiao is likely to leave the Brazilian outfit at the end of the campaign.

“Leandro Damiao is indeed the player that is most likely to leave Internacional, especially because foreign clubs are interested,” he said.

Damiao has scored two goals in 14 appearances for Brazil.
