Arsenal transfers: Hamburg’s Rene Adler ‘inspired’ by Gunners link
Arsenal transfers: Hamburg goalkeeper is Rene Adler "inspired" by speculation linking him with a summer move to the Gunners

Rene Adler says he is inspired by speculation linking the Hamburg goalkeeper with a summer move to Arsenal.
The 28-year-old has impressed for the Bundesliga outfit in his first campaign at the Imtech Arena, keeping seven clean sheets in 29 top-flight appearances.
With Wojciech Szczęsny and Lukasz Fabiański both struggling at The Emirates this season, Arsene Wenger has been linked with a summer move for a goalkeeper.
Germany international Adler is reported to be one of the Gunners manager’s top targets and the shot-stopper admits he is flattered to be linked with a club of Arsenal’s stature.
“For any player it is an honour [to be linked with Arsenal],” said Adler.
“It is something that inspires me even more, and it is not distracting me.”
Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen insisted the club had not received any enquiries for Adler despite mounting speculation.
“I know Arsenal are looking for a goalkeeper, but we’ve not been contacted,” Arnesen told Bild.
