Gareth Bale: Tottenham’s team spirit is at an all-time high
Gareth Bale calls on Tottenham to carry the momentum from dramatic victory over Manchester City into clash at Wigan

Gareth Bale has called on Tottenham to carry the momentum from last weekend’s dramatic victory over Manchester City into Saturday’s clash at Wigan.
Spurs mounted a remarkable second-half comeback to overturn City’s lead and secure a 3-1 win over Roberto Mancini’s men to keep their bid for a top-four finish on track.
Tottenham can move above both Arsenal and Chelsea and into third place in the Premier League table with victory at the DW Stadium.
And Bale is determined to help Andre Villas-Boas’s men continue their push for Champions League qualification with three points.
“The win against City showed the team spirit and character we’ve got in the changing room and we need to maintain that now in the last five games,” said Bale.
“We know what Wigan are like towards the end of every season, difficult to beat, so we have to take what we did against City into the game.
“It’s never easy, especially at this time of the season when a lot of teams have so much to play for. It will be a difficult game.
“We need to take a positive attitude to Wigan and not be too relaxed, be strong and try to get the three points.”
