There is a whole weekend of entertainment planned both on and off the pitch as the Emirates Airline Glasgow 7s returns to Scotland’s biggest city.

And what better way to spend your bank holiday weekend than to make the most of this year’s movie themed fancy dress?

Sixteen teams will battle it out in 15-minute games, playing three pool games each on day one (Saturday 4 May), as they look to book their places in the knockout competition on day two (Sunday 5 May).

Scotland 7s’ Byron McGuigan revealed that he and his team-mates have been hard at work in training for the event.

“It’s good to be back, the fitness is up another level and we’ve worked through a lot of skills today,” he told www.scottishrugby.org.

“Training the last two weeks has been intense and we have to keep building on that, but the boys are looking good.”

Tickets for the Glasgow 7s tournament, which is the eighth leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series and takes place on 4 and 5 May at Scotstoun Stadium, are on sale now at viagogo from £15 per day (£7.50 for children).
