Kevin De Bruyne is ready to make an impact at Chelsea next season, according to the Belgian midfielder’s agent.
De Bruyne, who moved to Stamford Bridge last summer after being signed by the Blues from Genk in January 2012, is yet to make an appearance for the west Londoners after being sent out on loan to Werder Bremen last August.
The 21-year-old winger has scored six goals and made eight assists in 28 appearances in all competitions for Werder Bremen this season.
And De Bruyne’s agent Patrick de Koster says that Chelsea have insisted that his client is part of the Blues’ plans for next season.
“The conversation was very positive,” De Koster told the London Evening Standard.
“They are pleased with his progress and think he is ready to become part of the first team.
“The only problem is there is still no clarity about who is head coach next season.”
De Bruyne recently declared his desire to impress at Chelsea when his loan spell comes to an end.
“I want to show everyone at Chelsea that I can play there,” De Bruyne told Sky Sports last week.
“But at the moment I don’t know what Chelsea want to do with me, so it’s difficult to say what’s going to happen with me in the next year, or years. I have to just wait.”
