Lionel Messi injury latest: The Argentina international is expected to be fit enough to be on the bench for PSG return leg

Barcelona were in training on Sunday morning just hours after their 5-0 trouncing of Mallorca – and the Catalan giants’ thoughts are now firmly on Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final decider against Paris Saint-Germain.
Those who were involved in the Mallorca match exercised at a more pedestrian pace, while the remaining players worked out with greater intensity.
Pedro and Adriano trained as normal and although neither has yet been given the all-clear by club medical staff, both are expected to be included in the squad for Wednesday’s showdown.
Lionel Messi, meanwhile, continued his rehabilitation programme under the supervision of club physios and only trotted out onto the practice pitches during the latter stages of the session.
Should all go according to plan, Messi, who suffered a hamstring strain last week, will be ready for the PSG game – although he is unlikely to start.
With the tie wide open at 2-2 from the first leg, Barça are hoping that they can make it through return leg at Camp Nou without calling on the Argentina international and are keen to ensure that he does not unnecessarily aggravate his condition.
