Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna says he is flattered by interest from Premier League leaders Manchester United.

The Red Devils reportedly sent scouts to watch the 24-year-old in Torino’s 2-1 loss to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin on Saturday.

Ogbonna has impressed for Torino over the past two seasons, earning a call-up to Cesare Prandelli’s Italy squad for last summer’s European championship.

While the Cassino-born defender is enjoying interest from the 19-time English champions, Ogbonna is focused on keeping Torino in Serie A this term.

“If they came to see me, this obviously flatters me, but right now I don’t think about the future,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“I live in the present and, just like all my team mates, I think only to the Torino’s salvation.”

Ogbonna has scored one goal in 128 appearances for Torino after graduating from their youth team in 2006.
