West Ham transfers: Wilfried Bony says Hammers move a ‘possibility’
West Ham transfers: Wilfried Bony has hinted that he would be open to a move to Upton Park in the summer
Wilfried Bony has hinted that he would be open to a move to West Ham United in the summer, amid interest from the Premier League clubs.
The Ivory Coast striker has attracted the interest of a host of top-flight sides, with Chelsea having reportedly sent scouts to watch him play for Vitesse Arnhem this season.
The 24-year-old admits he would be keen on a move to England and said a transfer to Upton Park would be “a possibility”.
“If I go to England, that would be perfect because of the competition, atmosphere, though Germany and France also appeal,” Bony is quoted as saying by Metro.
And when asked about a link with West Ham, he replied: “I know only by hearsay, nothing is concrete, but [a move there] is certainly a possibility.”
Bony, whose contract is set to expire in 2015, has netted an impressive 27 goals in 27 games in the Dutch league this term.
The forward also admits he dreams of one day lining up for Real Madrid. He added: “My dream club? Real Madrid. Growing up I loved that club, with players like the Brazilian Ronaldo, he was fantastic.”
Bony’s comments come after he described Chelsea as a “big and beautiful club” last week.
“It’s nice to hear that clubs are interested in me,” Bony told De Telegraaf. “Chelsea are a big and beautiful club.”
