Arsenal transfers: Abdisalam Ibrahim ‘honoured’ by Gunners link
Arsenal transfers: Abdisalam Ibrahim says he is "very flattered" to be linked with a move to The Gunners but could stay at Man City
Abdisalam Ibrahim says it would be an “honour” to play for Arsenal after the Manchester City midfielder was linked with an Eastlands exit this summer.
The 22-year-old, who has spent part of the last two seasons on loan to Stromgodset, is understood to be on the radar of a host of Premier League clubs, including Fulham, Everton and the Gunners.
And Ibrahim, who is a boyhood Arsenal fan, admits he is very flattered to be linked with a transfer to The Emirates – although he maintains that he is open to extending his stay at City.
“I’m very flattered to be linked with Arsenal, I grew up as an Arsenal fan and my hero was Patrick Vieira when he was playing there,” Ibrahim is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“I would be very honoured to play for Arsenal and it would be all my dreams come true to work with Arsene Wenger.
“We will see what happens in the next couple of months about my future as I’m contracted to Manchester City for another year.
“I’m open to extending my new deal, but I’d like to meet the new manager if it’s [Manuel] Pelligrini and see what he has to say.”
