Cristiano Ronaldo insists he is not concerned about Jose Mourinho's plans for the future despite reports of Chelsea return
Cristiano Ronaldo insists he is not concerned about Jose Mourinho’s plans for the future after the Portuguese coach hinted he could leave Real Madrid this summer.
Mourinho sparked fresh reports linking him with a return to Chelsea following Madrid’s Champions League semi-final exit at the hands of Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.
But Ronaldo insists he is not bothered by the speculation about his compatriot’s future and says he feels “fine” at the Bernabeu.
“I don’t want to talk about [Mourinho’s future], I’m only worried about the team and myself, not [the speculation surrounding] the coach,” Ronaldo said.
“[I’m also not] concerned about my renewal, I have two more years on my contract. I want to win wherever I am. I feel very good here with the fans. I’m fine.”
Speaking after his side’s 4-3 aggregate defeat by their Bundesliga opponents, Mourinho said: “I know in England I am loved by the fans, the media they treat me in a fair way. I know I am loved by some clubs, especially one.”
