Fernando Torres insists he is not concerned by the prospect of Chelsea signing “top players” this summer.

The Blues have been heavily linked with Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, Napoli star Edinson Cavani and Zenit St Petersburg forward Hulk.

Torres, who scored in a 2-1 win against Benfica in the Europa League final, has enjoyed his best season since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2011.

Despite the striker scoring 22 goals this term, the Blues are expected to add to their striking department, but Torres is unfazed by talk of new arrivals.

“All of us are expecting Chelsea to sign top players in all the positions,” Torres is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

“Anyone who comes here is a team-mate, not an enemy. Everyone expects it, it’s normal. Every top side in the world signs top players every summer.

“All the things that have happened in the past are in the past. This season, for me especially, has been much better than the first two.”

Torres also rubbished speculation he could join Fiorentina in the summer, insisting he is committed to Chelsea.

“I will be a Chelsea player [after this summer], why not? I signed five years here, I have a contract and I want to do many, many things in this time,” he added.

“I still have three years and, hopefully, more.”
