Hugo Lloris: Tottenham can’t worry about Arsenal on Sunday
Hugo Lloris warns Tottenham that they must focus on beating Sunderland and forget about the fortunes of top-four rivals Arsenal

Hugo Lloris has warned Tottenham that they must focus on beating Sunderland and forget about the fortunes of top-four rivals Arsenal on Sunday.
The Gunners can secure a top-four finish and a place in next season’s Champions League with victory over Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Sunday as Tottenham host Sunderland.
Andre Villas-Boas’s men will be hoping Arsene Wenger’s side slip up at the final hurdle as they look to qualify for Europe’s elite club competition at their local rivals’ expense.
But goalkeeper Lloris says Spurs can ill afford to take their eye off the task at hand against the Black Cats, who Paolo Di Canio has managed to steer clear of relegation.
“Paolo Di Canio has realised his objective, he’s saved the team in the Premier League and it’s never easy to play against a team that has no pressure,” Lloris said.
“We can’t think about the Arsenal result, we have to think about our performance, we need three points and from there, we can see what happens.
“It won’t be easy. Sunderland have good players, a good team and when we played against them in December, it was a tough game. That was a good result for us.
“It has been difficult for them and a number of teams concerned with relegation.
“Like I said, it’s not easy to play against a team that has no pressure, but we have to focus on ourselves.”
