Lionel Messi admits that Neymar would be a “wonderful addition” to the Barcelona squad should the Brazilian join the La Liga champions.
The highly-rated 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou this summer despite insisting that he plans to stay with current club Santos for at least another year.
It was reported earlier this month that Neymar, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester City, has already agreed to join Barcelona.
And four-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi admits he would be delighted to welcome Neymar to the club.
“I do not know if he will end up at the club or not. However, it is true that he is a player who would bring a very different dimension to the team,” Messi told Qatar Alkass.
“Of course he would be a wonderful addition.”
