Man City transfers: Carlos Tevez expresses PSG & Monaco interest
Man City transfers: Citizens striker Carlos Tevez expresses his interest in joining Monaco and Paris-Saint Germain
Carlos Tevez has expressed his interest in a potential move to Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain, with the striker’s Manchester City future in doubt.
The Argentina international has rediscovered some of his best form this season for the Citizens, with a return of 11 goals in 32 Premier League appearances.
Tevez’s current City deal is set to expire at the end of next season, which has inevitably led to speculation that the 29-year-old could leave the Eastlands outfit.
Ligue 1 duo Monaco and PSG have both been linked with a move for the former Manchester United forward – and Tevez has not ruled out a switch to France.
“For me, Monaco is one of the largest French clubs, and any player would go there,” said Tevez.
“I have a one-year contract left at City and I am happy, and I love playing in the Premier League – but a project like Monaco I really like.
“I know [Claudio] Ranieri [Monaco coach] and he has proven he is a great coach so for me this would be great.”
He added: “There was interest from PSG for me, and we talked with Leonardo, but we could not reach an agreement.
“But it remains an interesting option as the French championship is moving very fast. If Leonardo called me, it’s not a problem for me to come, really no problem to come to Paris and France.”
