QPR transfers: Adel Taarabt set to assess Hoops future in summer
QPR transfers: Adel Taarabt says he will assess his future with the west London side at the end of the season
Adel Taarabt admits he is unsure of his Queens Park Rangers future beyond the summer with the Hoops readying themselves for life in the Championship.
The Morocco international has been one of the only positives of an otherwise dour season for the west London side under former boss Mark Hughes and current manager Harry Redknapp.
The 23-year-old, who signed a three-year contract extension at Loftus Road last August, has scored five goals in 29 Premier League appearances for the Hoops this season.
In January, Taarabt claimed AC Milan and Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain were interested in signing the African following a string of spectacular displays but he opted to stay at QPR.
With Redknapp set to streamline his squad following relegation to the Championship, Taarabt says he will assess his options at the end of the season before making a decision on his future.
“I do not know if I will leave QPR,” Taarabt said.
“I will speak to the club if they still want to keep me. There was interest in January, in the next three weeks my future will be clear.”
Taarabt has scored 34 goals and made 44 assists in 154 appearances for QPR after completing a move from Tottenham Hotspur in 2008.
