Joe Root hit his maiden England century as the hosts finished on 337-7 on the second day of the final Test against New Zealand at Headingley.

The 22-year-old scored 104 runs off 167 balls, including nine boundaries, at his home ground to put the hosts in a strong position in the second Test.
