Wojciech Szczesny sure Arsenal will pip Tottenham to top-four finish
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny claims Tottenham "do not have enough quality" to finish in the top four this season
Wojciech Szczesny claims Tottenham “do not have enough quality” to finish in the top four this season.
The Arsenal goalkeeper helped the Gunners to a 1-0 win at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday after Spurs won by the same scoreline against Southampton.
Chelsea then moved up to third place with a 1-0 victory at Manchester United – but Szczesny insists he is not concerned by the threat posed by Spurs, as Andre Villas-Boas’s men prepare to travel to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
“I was convinced that Tottenham had drawn 0-0 against Southampton, I only found out after the game that they had won 1-0, but I don’t think it matters really,” Szczesny told Arsenal Player.
“If we win our next two games it will be enough because either Chelsea or Spurs will drop points because they play each other.
“If you look at Chelsea’s fixtures, they have Tottenham and Everton left and they won’t be easy games. And Tottenham do not have enough quality, so there you go.”
