Andrey Arshavin, Denilson and Sebastien Squillaci will all leave Arsenal when their contracts expire at the end of the month
Andrey Arshavin, Denilson and Sebastien Squillaci will all leave Arsenal when their contracts expire at the end of the month.
Russian international Arshavin, who joined Arsenal from Zenit St Petersburg in 2009, made 144 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 31 times over the course of five seasons.
However, the 32-year-old did not start any Premier League games this season and was limited to just seven substitute appearances in the top flight.
“Thanks a lot to all Arsenal fans, to all my team partners, who played with me all these years, to all the staff and coaches! Many thanks,” Arshavin tweeted last month.
The Russian added: “Gunners! Good luck in the Champions League next year!”
Midfielder Denilson, who has spent the past two seasons on loan to Sao Paulo, made 153 Arsenal appearances from 2006 to 2011.
Defender Squillaci, meanwhile, made 40 appearances for the north Londoners after joining the club from Sevilla in 2010.
A club statement read: “Everyone at Arsenal would like to wish Andrey, Denilson and Sebastien all the very best.”
