Arsenal transfers: Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuaín says he wants to prove his ability at "another club"
Gonzalo Higuaín has revealed that he wants to move to “another club” amid reports of interest from Arsenal and Juventus in the Real Madrid striker.
The Argentina international has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the Madrid side over the past couple of seasons.
The 25-year-old scored in a 4-2 victory over Osasuna at the Bernabeu on Saturday night, which could prove to be his final game for Los Blancos.
“I feel like my time here has ended, I want a change of air,” said Higuaín.
“These have been seven intense, difficult, and happy years.
“It’s hard, it’s not easy but I think that I want to go to another club, have new challenges.
“I was never given anything. I would like to go where they demonstrate that they are telling the truth when they say they want me.
“There are people who say I am a player of a certain class, but I don’t know. That’s over. I want to be done with this.”
Juventus have been heavily linked with a move for the Real Madrid man as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his attacking options at the Serie A champions.
Higuaín confirmed Juve are “a possibility” but the striker emphasised his desire to move to a club where he can prove his talents on a regular basis.
“Yes, they are a possibility but I do not know,” he added.
“I want to go where I can prove myself really. I have several offers. I hope that [Madrid] do the best for me and for themselves.”
