Arsenal transfers: Gunners will have £70m to spend on transfers this summer, chief executive Ivan Gazidis has revealed
Arsenal will have £70m to spend on transfers this summer, chief executive Ivan Gazidis has revealed.
The Gunners have been linked with a host of names over the past few months, including the likes of Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic and Everton’s Marouane Fellaini.
And now, Gazidis has reassured Arsenal fans that Arsene Wenger will have plenty of “firepower” to utilise in the transfer market ahead of next season.
“This year we are beginning to see something we have been planning for some time, which is the escalation in our financial firepower,” said Gazidis.
“I’m talking about an extra £70m of additional, high-margin revenue which we will be able to use.
“We have a certain amount which we’ve held in reserve and we also have new revenue streams coming on board. All of these things mean we can do some things which would excite you.
“We can think about all kinds of things.”
