Arsenal transfers: Tomas Rosicky hoping for ‘reinforcements’
Arsenal transfers: Tomas Rosicky is hoping to see Arsene Wenger strengthen his squad this summer
Tomas Rosicky admits he is hoping to see Arsene Wenger strengthen his Arsenal squad this summer.
The Gunners have been linked with a number of big-name signings in recent months, including Barcelona’s David Villa and Cesc Fàbregas.
The north Londoners are understood to be close to snapping up Auxerre’s Yaya Sanogo, as well as closing in on a deal for Lyon playmaker Clement Grenier.
And midfielder Rosicky is keen for Wenger to bring in “reinforcements” ahead of next season.
“We are a club that every summer sees one or two players come in, but we still find ourselves needing to replace someone and it is always difficult,” said Rosicky.
“It looks like no-one will leave [this summer] and in turn we could have reinforcements. We would all benefit from that.”
Asked about his own future, the 32-year-old replied: “At the end of the season I spoke with the boss and he said he wants me to stay at Arsenal.
“Of course you never know what can happen, but I should stay.”
