Yossi Benayoun wants to move to the MLS when his Chelsea contract expires later this month.

The 33-year-old, who has been on loan to both West Ham and Arsenal in recent seasons, has made just 24 appearances in all competitions for the Blues since joining the Londoners from Liverpool back in 2010.

And with his contract set to expire at the end of this month, the Israel international has underlined his desire to seal a move to America.

“I finish my contract on June 30. At the moment I’m in talks with several European teams,” Benayoun told the New York Post.

“I’m checking my options but, to tell you the truth, America is one of my favourite options.

“I’m trying to do everything I can to come to America and play in the MLS, and hopefully it works out in the next few weeks.”
