Neymar believes England won’t be a “real threat” at next year’s World Cup ahead of Brazil’s friendly against the Three Lions on Sunday.

The 21-year-old, who is set to join Barcelona, is expected to feature against England as A Seleção continue their preparations ahead of next year’s tournament.

Neymar was part of the Brazil side who won a silver medal at the London 2012 Olympics and was linked with a move to Chelsea before agreeing a Camp Nou move.

The Santos striker expressed his respect for the England’s squad in terms of their club achievements, but the youngster doesn’t rate Roy Hodgson’s men as contenders for the World Cup.

“I have respect for a lot of the England players as they have achieved great things at their clubs,” Neymar told the Sun.

“But, as a national team, I don’t look at England and think they are going to be a real threat at the World Cup.

“We want to win the World Cup in front of our home fans and the two nations I look at as a real threat are Germany and Spain.

“After that it’s a group including Argentina, Holland, Italy and one or two more. But England I don’t even think about.”
