Juan Mata has described playing alongside Eden Hazard and Oscar at Chelsea as a “real pleasure”.
The Blues trio earned plenty of plaudits last season after Hazard and Oscar arrived at the club in the summer and impressed in their debut campaigns in England.
Between them, Mata, Oscar and Hazard scored 25 Premier League goals and made a total of 28 assists in the top flight last term.
And Mata, who was voted Chelsea’s player of the year, says he thoroughly enjoys playing with the Belgian and the Brazilian.
“As much as you play and understand each other, above all else it’s a real pleasure for me to play alongside them both,” Mata told Chelsea’s website.
“Eden and Oscar are both young players and so talented. When I play with them I just try to assist, pass the ball and make good movements.
“I already feel that we understand each other really well, and hopefully it will only get better in the future.”
Mata has won three major trophies – the Champions League, FA Cup and Europa League – since joining Chelsea from Valencia back in 2011.
And the 25-year-old admits that it has been a “perfect” start to his career in west London.
“I couldn’t have wished for any more in my time at the club so far,” he continued.
“Winning both the Champions League and Europa League, and winning the personal trophies for player of the year, it’s been absolutely amazing.
“It’s special because of the fact you spend every day with your team-mates and share all your good and bad moments, so I’m so grateful to all of them for helping me.
“Since I came here everything has been almost perfect for me, the only thing I want now is to keep going and hope the good luck stays with me.”
