Man City transfers: El Shaarawy is not unsellable, say AC Milan
Man City transfers: AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani says Stephan El Shaarawy is not "unsellable" amid Citizens interest
Adriano Galliani has admitted AC Milan midfielder Stephan El Shaarawy is not “unsellable” amid interest from Manchester City.
The 21-year-old Italy international has been a big hit at the San Siro this season after scoring 16 goals in 34 Serie A appearances.
And Milan chief executive Galliani admitted El Shaarawy could leave this summer despite the club’s desire to keep their talisman.
“He is the player who has the biggest value in the market,” Galliani said.
“The price? It has not yet been fixed, but I cannot say that he is unsellable, because in modern football that is a difficult word to say.”
Earlier this week, El Shaarawy expressed his desire to remain at Milan amid interest from England and Spain.
“I don’t think I will leave Milan. If City really wants me, it flatters me,” said El Shaarawy.
“But I want to stay here at AC Milan. I always felt total confidence from all: the club, coach Massimiliano Allegri and team-mates.
“It’s also thanks to them that I am in the Italian national team.”
