Cesc Fàbregas has vigorously denied reports that he could be set for a summer transfer to Manchester United.

Speculation over the 26-year-old’s future has been mounting in recent weeks, with the latest rumours suggesting that David Moyes is keen to lure the Barcelona playmaker to Old Trafford.

But the former Arsenal captain has once again committed his future to the La Liga champions and insists that there is nothing behind the reports.

“It’s fascinating how some people can invent these things, I’ve never opened my mouth about this,” Fàbregas told Onda Cero.

“I’m very happy, it’s taken a lot to get where I am and I don’t plan on throwing that away for anything.

“The truth is that if I didn’t feel that I was wanted it would be different, but I haven’t been told anything.

“I’m very happy, the truth is that I want to triumph with Barcelona. I’m living a dream, it was my dream since I was a child and I would like to fulfil that by working hard.”

Fàbregas left Arsenal for Barcelona in the summer 2011 and still has three years left to run on his contract with the newly-crowned La Liga champions.

The midfielder scored 11 goals in 32 Primera División appearances for the Catalan outfit last season.
