Tore Andre Flo backs Jose Mourinho to flourish at Chelsea
Tore Andre Flo is convinced that Jose Mourinho is set to enjoy a successful second stint in charge of Chelsea
Tore Andre Flo believes Jose Mourinho is set to enjoy a successful second stint in charge of Chelsea.
The Portuguese coach, who led the Blues to six trophies between 2004 and 2007 during his first spell in charge in west London, secured a return to Stamford Bridge last week after agreeing a four-year deal.
And Flo, who works in Chelsea’s youth academy, is sure that the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid boss will get the best out of the players he has at his disposal.
“I think his strength is his connection with the players,” Flo told Goal. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets John Terry to be as good as he was some years ago again.
“Frank Lampard, he had a brilliant season last season, and he seems to be in great form, and with some new players he is going to bring in, I think that it smells like gold to me.”
Mourinho will be officially unveiled as Chelsea boss on Monday afternoon.
