Tottenham technical director Franco Baldini to ‘work closely’ with AVB
Daniel Levy says that newly-appointed Tottenham technical director Franco Baldini will "work closely" with Andre Villas-Boas
Daniel Levy says newly-appointed Tottenham technical director Franco Baldini will “work closely” with Andre Villas-Boas after the Italian joined the north Londoners on Wednesday.
The 52-year-old left Serie A outfit Roma earlier this month and was widely expected to be joining Villas-Boas’ backroom staff at White Hart Lane.
The former Bologna, Bari and Pescara player has previously held roles as assistant manager during Fabio Capello’s time in charge of England and as sporting director at Real Madrid.
And Spurs chairman Levy believes Baldini’s appointment strengthens Spurs’ management team.
“Franco is extremely well respected in the industry, possessing an extensive knowledge of players around the world,” said chairman Levy.
“He will strengthen our football management team, particularly in the field of recruitment, working closely with Andre Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood across all levels on the playing side.”
