Fredy Guarín has reiterated that he won’t be leaving Inter Milan this summer despite reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

The tenacious midfielder has been heavily linked with a switch to Spurs after a mixed first season at San Siro.

The Colombia scored four goals in 21 Serie A appearances for the Nerazzurri following an €11m (£9.3m) switch from Porto last summer.

Guarín faced Spurs in the Europa League last season, but the South American is adamant that he is staying at Inter.

“I won’t be leaving, I will be staying at Inter,” Guarín told Total Futbol.

“I still have a lot to learn and I only joined Inter about a year ago. Inter are a great club with a great squad. I am playing my football in Milan with the intention of making history.”

Inter president Massimo Moratti also quashed any chance of the Colombian leaving Inter during the summer transfer window.

“It’s good that he says he will stay. There are a number of clubs interested in him but he is one that we want to keep,” Moratti told Inter’s website.

Guarín has scored 21 goals in 116 appearances for Porto before joining Inter Milan last summer.
