Luis Suárez says he is flattered by speculation linking him with a transfer to Arsenal but insists he has not yet received an official offer to leave Liverpool.

The striker’s future has been a source of constant headlines since he declared his desire to leave Anfield earlier in the summer, despite Liverpool’s insistence that he is not for sale.

Widespread reports this week claimed that the Gunners had a £30m bid for the 26-year-old striker rebuffed by the Reds, while Chelsea have also been linked with a swoop for the controversial forward.

And Suárez says that it is “good to know” that he is valued by clubs such as Arsenal.

“There have been no offers yet, but Liverpool know exactly what is going on and what I want,” Suarez told Uruguayan radio station Sport 890.

“My agent is in charge, he knows what I want, I am resting and relaxed. I am due back in about 10 days, on 21 July, [but] a phone call could change everything.

“It’s good to know that I am still valued by teams like Arsenal. Friends call me up to ask if I am moving to Chelsea, to which I laugh.”
