Arsenal transfers: Clement Grenier claims that Lyon have rejected a bid from the Gunners for the midfielder this summer
Clement Grenier has claimed that Lyon have rejected a bid from Arsenal for the midfielder this summer and admits he is flattered by interest from the Gunners.
The 22-year-old, who has been likened to former Arsenal playmaker Samir Nasri, has been linked with a summer switch to Emirates Stadium in recent weeks.
And Grenier claims that the north London side have already been rebuffed in their pursuit of the midfielder.
“I know Lyon have refused an offer from Arsenal,” Grenier told Le Parisien. “Of course it’s flattering that clubs are interested in me.”
In an interview with RTL, he added: “Today, I can’t honestly give an answer [on my future], because my future is not decided.
“I have a meeting very soon with the president, the coach and my representatives, to discuss a little bit of everything.
“But today I have problems talking about my future because nothing is decided. I prefer to wait to be 100 per cent sure about what is going to happen.”
France Under-21 international Grenier scored seven goals and made nine assists in all competitions for Lyon last season.
