Chelsea transfers: AC Milan rule out Stephan El Shaarawy sale
Chelsea transfers: Stephan El Shaarawy will not be leaving AC Milan this summer after the forward was linked with the Blues
Stephan El Shaarawy will not be leaving AC Milan this summer after the forward was linked with a transfer to Chelsea, the Serie A club have insisted.
The 20-year-old Italy international was a reported target for new Blues boss Jose Mourinho, with the west Londoners said to be ready to let Fernando Torres move in the opposite direction.
However, the Italian club have emphatically quashed the reports linking El Shaarawy with an exit from the San Siro this summer and insist that the striker remains committed to the Rossoneri.
“There has been a meeting between [Milan vice president] Adriano Galliani, Stephan El Shaarawy and the young star’s entourage,” read a note published on AC Milan’s website.
“Everything went well. Stephan has always been an AC Milan fan and has reiterated his determination to continue playing for the Rossoneri.
“That pledge was reciprocated by Milan, with conviction. Milan and El Shaarawy will move forward together, as they have since 2011.
“No more talk of the transfer market, no more rumours.”
