Chelsea transfers: ‘Blues have tabled £6.9m bid for Bruma’
Chelsea transfers: Blues have bid at least €8m (£6.9m) to sign Bruma from Sporting Lisbon, the winger's agent has claimed
Chelsea have made a bid of at least €8m (£6.9m) in an attempt to sign Bruma from Sporting Lisbon, the winger’s agent has claimed.
The Sporting Lisbon winger, whose full name is Armindo Tue Na Bangna, has been linked with both Manchester City and the Blues in recent days amid speculation over his future in Portugal.
The 18-year-old, who is reportedly refusing to train with Sporting in an attempt to force a transfer, scored five goals in four games for Portugal this month at the Under-20 World Cup before his country lost to Ghana in the last 16 of the tournament.
And Bruma’s agent Catio Balde claims that there are offers on the table to sign his client – who has a year left on his current contract – from both Chelsea and Galatasaray.
“I was in charge of presenting offers to Sporting. There are offers from foreign clubs, from Chelsea and from Galatasaray, worth €8m, that could reach €12m (£10.3m),” Balde told Antena 1.
“From this moment on, considering that he is a highly coveted player, it is possible that more offers will arrive, because I know that several clubs were waiting for the best moment to make a move. Right now, Bruma’s mind is not on Sporting.”
