John Obi Mikel has refused to rule out a possible move away from Chelsea despite the Blues quashing speculation linking him with a switch to Galatasaray last month.

The Nigeria international had been linked with the Champions League quarter-finalists but Chelsea rubbished incorrect reports suggesting the midfielder was set to leave Stamford Bridge.

Mikel, who signed a contract extension to keep him at the Blues until 2017 in December, was limited to just 19 Premier League starts last season as he struggled under interim boss Rafael Benítez.

And the 26-year-old remained coy about his future despite the appointment of Jose Mourinho, who brought the Nigerian to the club in a £16m deal from Norwegian side Lyn in 2006.

“I have a four-year contract with Chelsea, but you know, in football you can never guess, one day you are here, the next day you might leave,” said Mikel.

Mikel has scored two goals in 277 appearances for the Blues after moving to the west London outfit seven years ago.
