Chelsea’s Petr Cech unsure of biggest Premier League rivals
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech says he is unsure who will be the Blues' biggest Premier League rivals this season
Petr Cech admits he is unsure who will be the “biggest force” in the Premier League next season.
The Chelsea goalkeeper is bidding to win his fourth top-flight crown after Jose Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge following his Real Madrid departure.
The Czech Republic international was a key part of Mourinho’s side which won two Premier League crowns during the Portuguese coach’s three-and-a-half year reign.
And Cech reckons the English top-flight will be a difficult league to predict next season with the change of management at Manchester City, Manchester United and the Blues.
“We would like to do as best as we can and we will work hard to achieve our goals, but it’s very hard to see who will be the biggest force before the season starts,” said Cech.
“All the teams you have spoken about have great squads, they have kept those players together and improved by buying some players.
“Even if they have new managers, they have the same players. They will have new motivation under a new manager, so it will be difficult.”
