David Beckham is convinced that Manchester United will retain their Premier League crown next season under new boss David Moyes.
Moyes took the reins from Sir Alex Ferguson earlier this month following the 71-year-old’s decision to retire at the end of last season, having led the Red Devils to their 20th top-flight title.
And former Manchester United midfielder Beckham, who hung up his playing boots at the end of last season, is backing his old club to retain their title next term.
“It’s going to be interesting this year as there have been so many changes throughout the Premier League,” Beckham told Sky Sports.
“Jose [Mourinho] is back and that’s exciting. It’s going to be interesting, but I still think United will win the league. I’m a Manchester United fan!
“I’m sure he [Moyes] has had lot of mentoring, he is one of those managers that has always picked up the phone and spoken to Sir Alex.
“It was always going to be difficult job for whoever succeeded Sir Alex because of what the manager has brought to Manchester United, what he has brought to the game.
“But the same players are there and I’m sure a few more will be added over the next few weeks. Being manager of Manchester United is a great job.”
