Ian Ayre says Liverpool have other signings in their sights as the Reds continue to be linked with Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Brendan Rodgers have been very active in the transfer market this summer after signing Luis Alberto, Iago Aspas, Simon Mignolet and Kolo Toure last month.

The Reds have been heavily linked with a host of midfielders, with Denmark intenrational Eriksen a top target after Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined Borussia Dortmund.

And Ayre says the Merseyside outfit have been able to sign players who are ambitious and want to restore Liverpool to the Champions League next season.

“We’ve got other people in our sights and we’ll keep plugging away,” Ayre told Bloomberg.

“But we’ll do some more business, there’s no doubt about that.

“We’ve brought in great players who recognise we’re not in the Champions League but see the size of this club, see the size of the opportunity and what we’re trying to build and want to be part of it.”
